How Understanding Gestalt Language Processing Can Support Your Child's Communication feat. Megan Myatt, Growing Together Speech, LLC

Our kids communicate outside of the box! We choose to see this as a gift - an opportunity to support their unique way of processing the world around them.

Join us for a heartfelt conversation, Thursday, July 16, 7pm EST on Zoom with Megan Myatt, licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP), founder of Growing Together Speech, LLC, about gestalt language processing, and how understanding it can help our kids. Gestalt language processing (GLP) is a natural style of language acquisition where language is learned in large, memorized chunks (gestalts or "scripts") rather than building it one single word at a time (source: The Cleveland Clinic).

Megan is a fellow neurodivergent Mama who is passionate about affirming neurodiversity. Her specialties include identifying and therapeutically supporting children with speech, language and social communication differences; she aims to foster connections between caregivers and their children. Megan is particularly interested in supporting neurodivergent toddlers and preschoolers- building their communication skills and self-advocacy from a young age.

The conversation is hosted by E, mindfulness facilitator, Mama to Nai (who is neurodivergent), and founder of When Motherhood Looks Different, which provides community, well-being tools, and support for moms on a neurodivergent parenting journey. Through 1:1 mindfulness sessions for caregiving Mamas, events, our well-being store, and support via the blog and social media, our heart-centered aim is to close the gap of isolation for moms like us on this journey.
